For the Dark Souls variant, see Darksword. The Dark Sword is a straight sword in Dark Souls III. Dropped by Darkwraiths in Farron Keep and High Wall of Lothric. As with its predecessor, the Dark Sword mainly performs wide sweeping attacks like the Broadsword (with exception being the rolling attacks). It is somewhat heavier than most other straight swords, such as the Long Sword. It scales best with Strength, and due to its early availability it makes a good choice for an early game weapon. What
