This model of the main gate of Minas Tirith is designed to fit within the community window display at the LEGO store in Troy, Michigan. The model is based on the Peter Jackson Lord of the Kings, Return of the Kings movie; the design was probably that of artist Alan Lee. If all goes well the model will be on display starting on January 22, 2013. I will probably add some Orcs with a battering ram at the gate; I do not know if I can make Grond or the first smaller battering ram that failed to breach the gate. The gates do open but at the time this picture was taken, were they to be open they would reveal a pile of random bricks.
