Nightmare is a supporting antagonist in the Five Nights at Freddy's franchise, serving as a major antagonist in Five Nights at Freddy's 4 and a minor antagonist in Ultimate Custom Night. Nightmare as a whole is a mysterious character, but he proclaims himself to be William Afton's wickedness taking physical form, and is heavily implied to be Shadow Freddy.
