Shieldmaidens were female Viking warriors capable to fight like men. They were stong women with dynamism in everyday life and in battle. Many Viking burials that have found around Scandinavia belong to shieldmaidens. Some of the famous shieldmaidens are Lagertha, Freydis ,and Brynhildr. All know for their bravery, honesty and dynamism. Lagertha is portrayed by Katheryn Winnick in the Vikings Tv Show.
