Hmmmidk, I feel like it depends on how well you can utilize the range between black and white, but I can agree that it attracts a bit of a niche crowd (namely manga fanatics) I've also had a hard time using colors as well-- I was definitely all over the place in my example, haha. I'm actually planning on remaking that excerpt to see how much I've grown since then(and other reasons like to boost my confidence after working on the Line Webtoon contest for so long).
